Tsiribihina River Descent |
Season from April 1st to Novembre 15th
Day 1 : Departure from the boarding point of Masiakampy. (1 hour from Miandrivazo) around 9 / 10:00. Start of descent. In the middle afternoon, entrance in the "gorges", observation of the first lemurs. Stop at 04:00 p.m ; We set up the tents on a large sandbank closed to the forest.
Day 2 : Departure around 9 :00 ; in the morning, we leave the boat to join a beautiful waterfall ; for brave people, a 30 mns walk will lead them to a very nice waterfall. |

Departure before midday, crossing big cliffs and Berevo village. We will arrive till the camp site around 16:00, once again camping on a sandbank. A village near the camp site will join us at night and a party will be organized for the guests with sakalava songs and "cabosses ".
Day 3 : Morning departure ; continuation of the descent. Now, we can see the first baobabs. Arrival around 11:00 at Tsimafana ( left side of the river ) just before Belo sur Tsiribihina. Lunch on the boat. The 4WD from Morondava will pick you up at Tsimafana. People who want to continue on the Bemarha Tsingy could disembark at Belo sur Tsiribihina, on the right side of the river. |
