Departure early in the morning around 7am. You take the National Route 4 towards Mahajunga. Along the way you will pass the impressive falls of the Betsiboka. Recommended lunch at a local restaurant in Maevatanana. In the late afternoon, we will stop at Ankarafantsika National Park. Night near the reserve Assity Lodge. (Step of 450 kms, 11 hours)

Visit of Ankarafantsika Park: A walking tour in the morning and an excursion on the lake in the afternoon that will be appreciated by bird lovers. (Ankarafantsika National Park, in northwestern Madagascar, is a mosaic of dense, dry forests. Ankarafantsika is known for its lakes, the last refuges of flagship species. It is also a den for endemic lemurs and birds). Back to the hotel after the visit.

You  go down south, at Ambondromamy, you turn north towards Antsohihy. You pass through several villages and the ”ghost” town of Port Berger. Arrival scheduled in Antsohihy in the late afternoon. Installation at the hotel Bellevue. Dinner and night. (340 kms stage, 9 to 10  hours)

You continue our ascent north towards Ambanja. famous for its plantations of Cocoa, Vanilla, Pepper, Ylang Ylang and Pink Berries. Bifurcation for Ankify. In the early afternoon, transfer by boat to reach Nosy Be . (45 minutes of crossing). Installation at the hotel. Afternoon free and relaxing. (210 kms stage, 6 to 7  hours ) Hôtel Nosy Lodge. ( 3 nights ).

Transfer by boat to Ankify Harbour. Your driver/guide will be waiting for you there. Road to the Ankarana National Park which is part of Madagascar’s network of protected areas. Transfer for the Tsingy from Ankarana. The Ankarana National Park, composed of a Karsingy massif, stretches 35 km long (from east to west). Covered by numerous canyons covered with forests, caves, and underground rivers, it is home to endemic flora and fauna. Discover the Tsingy Rary, the turrets of the tsingy. Lunch recommended at Aurélien. In the afternoon you can visit the sacred cave of bats which is home to splendid stalactites and stalagmites (provide one flashlight per person).

From Ankarana to Diégo, the road becomes bad (broken tar) but the beautiful landscape will compress the travel time. You  make a stop in the ”Tsingy Rouges» the red tsingy through the mountains, in the southeast of Diego. The Red Tsingy give us other secrets of nature. Composed of sandstone, marl and limestone, just right at the foot of eroded canyons, within the single sedimentary basin of Madagascar with diverse vegetation, their balance is fragile. A little walk in the area, then continuation to Joffre Ville. ( Step 150 Kms – 6h ) Accomodation at Nature Lodge

Transfer to ”Montagne d’Ambre” (Amber Mountain). Created in 1958, the National Park is a volcanic region. Rightly considered as a ”biological treasure”, it hosts a wonderful protected rainforest, preserved from any human impact, where thrives a rich and complex natures. Following the nature trail and enjoy various forms of vegetation (canarium, ficus, orchids … Meet different species of chameleons which is the smallest in the world , called Brokesia Minima tuberculata. Also get to know crowned and fulvus lemurs. A real water tower for the region, discover different waterfalls such as the cascade of Antomboka, the Sacred cascade, waterfall of Antakarana or the Mahasarika lake. Drive to Diégo Suarez / Ramena after visits. Installation at your hotel Lakana Ramena(Step 30Kms – 1h30)

Early departure for the 3 Bays visit which are the sequence of Sakalava Bay, ”pigeons” Bay and the ”Dunes” bay . It is possible to walk along the bays during 3 hours. You will be in quiet and uncrowded places where the fine white sand beach is of natural beauty. Then, transfer to the cape mine with its lighthouse and its canons inherited from the colonial area. You will appreciate  a breathtaking view of the entrance to the Bay of Diégo-Suarez. And in case of clear weather, you might see the Emerald Sea. You will end the day in Ramena. Before dark, enjoy the beauty of the sunset. Come back to your hotel.

Transparent and shallow, it allows you to do do some snorkeling in a natural aquarium where all sizes fishes, all shapes and colors seem it be given an appointment. Snorkeling Equipment is in our charge Lunch with seafood prepared on the spot. Later in the afternoon, boat team takes you back to Ramena through the coral of a Tsingy form to admire this beauty due to battle of Sea and limestone. Back to your hotel
